SUOMI steamship

Built during the winter of 1905/1906 by Lehtoniemi & Taipale Engineering at Joroinen, Finland, for Päijännematkailu Höyrylaiva Oy.
Launched as SUOMI (Finland).
Tonnage 239 grt, dim. 31.73 x 6.7 x 2.53m. Draught)
Powered by one compound oil fired steam engine, 200 hp, one screw, speed 10.5 knots.
Accommodation for 199 passengers.

She made her maiden voyage under command of Captain Mikko Fagren. Used as a lake passenger ship on the lakes of Finland.
1938 Underwent a major refit.
She was later bought by Päijänne Risteilyt Hilden Oy, Jyväskylä, and restored.
2013 In service same name and owners and makes fun cruises from Jyväskylä from May till September.
