HUMBER ARM. Cargo. Built in 1925 by Armstrong Whitworth, Newcastle for International Power & Paper Co, St Johns. 5758Gt. 3504Nt. L42419"pp. B56·3". Dr28'6". Triple expansion engines. 3-cyl. 620nhp. Specially built with sister ship CORNER BROOK (also on a stamp) to carry paper from Bowater Mills, Newfoundland to great Britain. She was torpedoed and sunk by a German submarine on 8th July 1940 in position 50.36min N, 09.24min W - Newfoundland 1932. 8c. SG227. 1937. 8c. SG260 (LB4/113. EWA Vol 7. p28. SB Aug 1987)
