HERALD. Tugboat. Built by J T Eltringham & Co. South Shields for Alexander Towing Co Ltd. Liverpool, 1907. 387Gt, 309Nt, Dwt46. L 125'3", B28'2", Dr13'. 3-cyl turbine diesel 132nhp by J T Eltringham.
Sold in 1920 to British Tanker Co Ltd. London and in 1923 to Petroleum SS Co Ltd. London. New engine was installed in September 1919 made by G T Grey, South Shields. She was stationed at South Shields in1919 and in Bombay in 1928. She was then stationed at Bashra from March 1932 and then Abadan from 1936. Port of registry changed to Liverpool in 1927 - Angola 1998. 350,OOOKZr. SG1357MS. (W P May 1999)

15 June 1907 launched as HERALD, and completed the same month.

She was broken up at Bombay in the fourth quarter of 1953.
