Monaco's government has developed mobility and quality travel solutions that respect the environment. The shuttle boat powered by solar electricity, for example, is far more than a simple gimmick for tourists: it is integrated into the transport network operated by Monaco's bus Company (Compagnie des Autobus de Monaco). This is one concrete example of an ecological means of transport that reflects government policy.

In December 2007 a experiment took place by the Départment de l’Equipment de l’Environnement et de l’Urbanisme and the Compagnie des Autobus de Monaco (CAM) and the Port Operating Company of Monaco.for a electric boat-bus connection between the dock and Kennedy et le Terre Plein du Fort Antoine.
August 2007 a trial took place with the bus without passengers before she was put in the service.
She was then handed over to her owner Pierre Brezzo, director of the Monaco Riviera Navigation Company.
The Bateau-Bus was built in three months in Monaco.
Dim. Length 12m.
Two electro motors.
Can seat 50 passengers.
Crew one skipper and a sailor.
The service is between 08.00 and 20.00 daily and she makes the passage every 20 minutes,
