1974 Sept 20: Launched for Cunard Cruise Ships Ltd., Replaced Cunard Adventurer.
1975 May 21: Left for La Spezia and fitted out by Industrie Navali Mechaniche Affini. White funnel and livery.
1976 Aug 27: M/v Barcelona-San Juan. On arrival there she was formally christened by Mrs Neil Armstrong, the wife of the Astronaut. Cruises out of San Juan-La Guaira-Grenada-Barbados-St Lucia-St Thomas-San Juan.
1980 Oct: It was planned to transfer the ship to the Bahamas flag. When the news was received at Bridgetown the crew refused to sail and the passengers were flown home. As a compromise only Cunard Princess was transferred. Cunard funnel given to both ships.
1982 Oct: Chartered as a troop ferry Ascension-Falkland Islands. Afterwards the winter refit was at Malta.
1983 May 4: Arrived at Malta.
Cunard sold COUNTESS in 1997 to Royal Olympic Cruises who renamed her OLYMPIC COUNTESS and then OLYMPIA COUNTESS.
ROC went under last year and the ship was sold to another Greek operator, Majestic International Cruises, who have renamed her OCEAN COUNTESS.
She is chartered to various European tour operators.

October 2012 laid up in Greece.
30 November 2013 at 09.30 am a fire broke out on the upper deck of the OCEAN COUNTESS at Chalkis, Greece, which became large-scale due to all the flammable materials which were stored on deck of the ship.
The five men on board at that time were safely evacuated.
30 November 2013 arrived at Aliaga, Turkey under tow of the CHRISTOS XXII for scrapping.
