GEESTCREST. Refrigerated General Cargo. Built in 1972 by Scotts SB Co Ltd. Greenock. Owned by Geest Industries, Boston. Englnad. 5871Gt. L492'. B63'. Dr28'. One screw. 2SA Scott-Sulzer diesel engine. 12000bhp. 6-cyl. 21kn. She was sold to Russia in 1981. Re-named KANDARA.

September 1971 keel laid down.
05 October 1971 launched as GEESTCREST.
03 February 1972 completed.

1981 Sold to Latvian Shipping Co., Riga and renamed KANDAVA (KANDARA is wrong)
15 October 1993 arrived at Chittagong, and beached 22 October 1993, broken up by Evergreen Shipbreaking Industries.
