GREATER LONDON (Civil Service No 3) lifeboat, Ramsgate Class. Built in 1928 by J S White at a cost £8668.
L48.5'. B13'. 21tn.3cwt. Two 40 Weyburn CE4 engines.
Served at Southend-on-Sea 1928/1941.
In the Reserve Fleet 1941/1945. Southend again between 1945/56. In Reserve 1955/57.
Sold to Uruguay in 1957. Fitted with new engines and refurbished.
Renamed ADES 1. Decommissioned in 1993 -
Uruguay 1995. $5. SG2303 (LB25/36)
