11 February 1952 launched as the STANLEY ANGWIN. Christened by Lady Angwin, the ship was named after a C&W chairman Sir Stanley Angwin. One sister the EDWARD WILSHAW.
Tonnage 2,530 grt, 879 nrt, 2,297 dwt, dim. 314.6 x 41.2 x 25.6 ft, maximum draught was 19.0 ft.
Powered by two 3-cyl. triple expansion steam engines manufactured by builders, 1,900 hp, twin shafts, speed 11 knots.
Range 10,000 miles
Three cable tanks with a total capacity of 18,850 ft.
Crew 114.
May 1952 completed.
She was built for cable repair and maintenance and based in Singapore.
1961 Lengthened to 97.0m, tonnage 2,604 grt, 2,210 dwt.
March 1971 out of service and laid up.
May 1972 sold for scrap to J de Smedt at Burcht, Belgium, arrived on the scrapyard on 16 May 1972.
