The Ivan Franko was the first of six 20-knot liners of 19,860 gross tons to be built to Soviet order by V.E.B. Matthias-Thesen Werft, at Wismar in 1964. Dimensions of the ship are 576 ft. 5 in. x 77 ft. 4 in. x 26 ft. 2 in. draft. Primarily intended for pleasure cruising, the class are suitable for liner service, with one class of passengers.
