Norwegian Polar ship of 600 tons.
Used to carry the gear to build the Dumont D’Urville station in 1955.
1948 The hull was bought by the brothers Jakobson from Trømsø, Norway.

Towed to the Flensburger Schiffsbau Ges., Flensburg, Germany and fitted out as an expedition ship and sealer.

Tonnage 592 grt, 253 net, 412 dwt., dim. 50.35 x 9.05 x 4.8m. (draught).

Fitted out with a u-boat 6-cyl oil engine, 1.100 bhp. manufactured by Masch. Augsburg-Nürnberg, Augsburg.

15 October 1949 delivered to Nordfisk A/S (Helge Jacobson), Tromsø.

She was chartered as supply vessel by the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition from 1949 till 1952.

17 November 1949 she sailed from Oslo under command of Capt. Guttorm Jakobsen, and via London (23 Nov.) and Cape Town she sailed to Dronning Maud Land with supplies and equipment to establish the Maudheim base there (71 03S 10 55W.)

20 February 1950 she left this base, and returned in January 1951 to resupply the base.

During the season of 1954 and 1955 she was chartered by the British FIDS as supply ship and to carry material and equipment for two new basis camps on Anvers Island and Horseshoe Island (Base N and Y.)

There were plans by the FIDS to buy her, but this fell through after the French took over the charter the next two seasons.

She was then chartered by the French (E.P.S.) as supply vessel for there Antarctic Expedition.

16 October 1955 she sailed from Rouen, France and via Algiers, Aden, Mauritius and Hobart, Tasmania, she sailed for the Antarctic waters, arriving off Pointe Geologie archipelago on 01 January 1956.

She carried the material, equipment and stores to reopen the Dumont d’Urville station on Adélie Land.

1967 Rebuilt as a seiner at the Tromsø Shipyard, thereafter used as a fishing vessel.

1978 Sold to Steinar Jakobsen (Olaf Jakobsen), Tromsø. 1989 Sold to Mathisen Fiskbåtrederi A/S (Torbjørn Mathisen),Havoøysund/Tromsø. 1990 Sold to Arktisk Marin A/S, Mehavn/Tromsø at which time her fishing registry was cancelled.

19 December 1992 she went aground in a position 65 24N 11 58E, sw of Torghatten, Norway, during severe weather.

23 December 1992 refloated and towed to Vestnes for examination, she was found beyond economical repair and condemned. She was stripped at the ASS yard near Molde, Norway during February 1993.
