The Mir was built at the Pula shipyard of Uljanik in 1958, being launched as the Polet. Her gross tonnage is 9,312, net 5,050 and deadweight 12,540 tons. Dimensions are: length 489ft. 8in., beam 61ft. 10in. draft 29ft. 2in. and a B. & W. oil engine having five cylinders gives the vessel a speed of 14 knots. She was subsequently sold to the People's Republic of China and has been renamed Wuxi.SG2054

Built in 1958 by Brodogradiliste Uljanik, Pula, #219 as POLET for Jugoslavenska Linejska Plovidba, unfinished sold to Cechofracht, Czechoslovakia as MIR.
Freighter, Gt:9312, Nt:5570, Dw:13.090, Loa:149,30m. Lbpp:136,80m. Br:18,90m. Draught:8,90m. 5 cyl. B&W/Pula engine:6250 hp. (4597 kW.) 15 kn. 5 holds, 1 derrick SWL:30 tons, 14 derricks SWL:5 tons, IMO.5236484.
11-02-1967 sold to China Ocean Shipping Co., renamed in WUXI.
1985 sold to Fujian Provence Shipping Co. (Fuzhou Branch) Fuzhou, renamed in DA PING SHAN, scrapped in ?
(Czechoslovakia 1972, 60 H. StG.2054)

16 May 1957 keel laid down.
02 March 1958 launched as POLET.
20 September 1958 delivered.

28 April 2010 deleted from Lloyds Registry, existence in doubt.
