Peter the Great, an iron hulled squadron battleship launched in 1872 and one of the most powerful vessels of her time. Forerunner of many similar vessels her displacement was 8,749 tons, length 382ft 2in, beam 62ft. 4in, and draft 23ft. 9in. She had twin screws driven by machinery developing 8,258 i.h.p. She was armed with four 12-in., 40-ton guns; 13 quick firing guns; and four light guns (under 15-cwt). There was one fixed or bow tube for firing fish torpedoes and one launching carriage for this purpose. Her speed was 141 knots; the coal supply being 1,200 tons. SG4117

In 1920 depotship for mines and renamed "BARRIKADA", 1942 as blockship for Kronstadt grounded, there in 1959 demolished.
