CAP BLANC

Built under yard No 760 as a cargo vessel by Santierul Naval Tulcea S.A., Tulcea, Romania for Delta Transport S.A. Saint-Pierre in St Pierre et Miquelon.
Launched under the name CAP BLANC.
Tonnage 324 gross, 97 net, 280dwt, dim. 36.50 x 10.20 x 4.45m., length bpp. 32.80m., draught 2.75m.
Powered by two 6-cyl. Volvo Penta diesels, 800hp, speed 9 knots. Twin controllable pitch propellers.
1982 Completed.

Used in a service between ports in St Pierre et Miquelon and Fortuna, New Foundland.

She was built for Romania account.
Launched as FOB 7.

2002 Sold to Delta Transport S.A. Saint-Pierre et Miquelon and renamed CAP BLANC.
Used in a service between ports in St Pierre et Miquelon and Fortuna, Newfoundland.
08 December 2008 on a voyage from Argentia, Newfoundland to St Pierre loaded with road salt, she capsized and sank with the loss of four crew in position 46 58N 55 05W
