Built as a passenger cruise vessel under yard no 6258 by Fincantieri-Cant. Nav. Italiani Castellammare di Stabia, Genova, Italia for Carnival Holdings Bermuda Ltd., Hamilton, Bermuda.
31 August 2015 laid down.
01 September 2017 launched as the SEABOURN OVATION.
Tonnage 41,865 GT, 7,000 DWT, dim. 210,0 x 27.99 x 8.80m, length bpp 177,10, draught 6.53m.
Powered diesel electric by 4 x Wartsila 12V32 – 4 stroke single acting 12 cyl. Engine. Each 8,158 hp (6,000 kW).
Propulsion by 2 Electro Motors make SAM/VEM each 6,000 kW. Twin pitch propellers make Wartsila.
Maximum speed 18.6 knots, service speed 15.0 knots.
Four thrusters, two fore and two aft.
Passenger capacity 604, crew 421.

MV SEABOURN OVATION is a cruise ship owned by Seabourn Cruise Line. The ship was ordered at Fincantieri in December 2014. The construction started on 7 June 2016. The keel was laid on 2 December 2016 in Sestri Ponente (Genoa). Sister ship of MV SEABOURN ENCORE.

SEABOURN OVATION was officially delivered to her owner on April 27, 2018. After setting sail from Genoa, she was christened on May 11 in the port of Valletta, Malta by British singer and actress Elaine Paige. The lyricist Tim Rice wrote a song specifically for the occasion. The ship will spend her inaugural season in Europe.

The ship is the fifth to be delivered to her owners in the last decade. It has 300 suites, each with a balcony.
Over 1,600 works of art, by 120 artists, are displayed aboard the ship.
