
The Tannen¬berg, built by Oderwerke at Stettin in 1935 and operated by the Hamburg-Amerika Line, principally in the Baltic. She was a twin-screw steamer of 5,504 tons with a maximum speed of 20 knots and accommodation for 2,000 passengers. In July 1941 when bound from Finland to Germany in convoy with two other vessels she ran into a Swedish minefield and was lost with her two consorts near Oland Island. She was scrapped where she lay in 1951.
