Built for the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line in 1982 by 0/Y Wartsila, Helsinki. Yard No 431. 37584Grt. Length 703. Beam 93'. Sulzer diesels. Twin screws. 22400bhp. Speed 21 knots. Passengers 1414, maximum 1575. Crew 500.
Typically 9 day Caribbean cruises from Miami to Cozumel, Mexico. Georgetown on Grand Cayman, Ocho Rios on Jamaica and Labadee on Haiti.

In May 1998, the Song of America was sold to Sun Cruises. Following the end of her charter to Sun Cruises, Louis Cruise Lines chartered the Sunbird to Thomson Cruises, who renamed her MS Thomson Destiny.

26 November 1981 launched as SONG OF AMERICA.
11 November 1982 delivered to owners.

May 1999 sold to Airtours (Sun Cruises), Nassau, Bahamas, renamed in SUNBIRD.
The same year used in the cruise trade in the Mediterranean.
26 July 2004 sold to Fulmar Shipping Co., Ltd, (Louis Cruise Line, Piraeus), Limassol, Cyprus.
03 May 2005 chartered by Thomson Cruises, renamed in THOMSON DESTINY.

May 2012 Sold to Destiny Trading Opco LLC Piraeus, Greece and renamed LOUIS OLYMPIA, Malta registry.
November 2014 renamed in CELESTYAL OLYMPIA.

2015 Same owner and name, IMO No 7927984.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic all cruises from 16 March 2020 to 6 March 2021 were suspended. The ship resumed service on 28 June 2021, cruising the Greek Isles.

The ship was laid up at Lavrion in late 2023, following the announcement of Celestyal acquiring the former AIDAaura (renamed CELESTYAL DISCOVERY) to replace CELESTYAL OLYMPIA in March 2024. In January 2024, following sale, Celestyal Olympia was renamed Bella Fortuna under the Liberian flag, and moved to Çeşme, Turkey. The ship left Çeşme on 26 April 2024 and arrived at Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, on 15 May.
Equasis gives that she is scrapped.
February 2025 broken up in Alang, India.
