The small cargo vessel sailing in the port is the HELENA JAYNE. 6 Other ships are depict, she are the MS shows the following ships from bottom left, counter clockwise around the harbour: VISTAFJORD, tug DOGGERSBANK the small tug and CHALE, sailing cruise vessel WINDSTAR, FEDOR DOSTOEVSKIY, HELENA JAYNE, SUN VIKING arriving, DAPHNE.
The design of the MS was from a photo taken around 10.00 a.m. on Wednesday 7 March 1990.
There is also an aerogramme envelope which shows a photo taken one hour later.
The aerogramme shows in the same direction: CUNARD COUNTESS just docking, tugs CHALE and DOGGERSBANK, MERMOZ just docked, FEDOR DOSTOEVSKIY, cargo vessel NEDLLOYD SEOUL, HELENA JANE at anchor, SUN VIKING and DAPHNE.

Built as a Dutch coaster under yard No 278 by the yard of G. J. Van der Werff’s Scheepsbouw C.V., Westerbroek, Netherlands for Houtstra & Zonen, Rotterdam.
21 September 1956 launched as the NIEUWE WATERWEG.
Tonnage 382 grt, 202 net, 473 dwt., dim. 48.8 x 7.8 x 2.89m., length bpp. 44.0m.
Powered by a Brons 4SA 4-cyl. oil engine 220 bhp, speed 8.5 knots.
November 1956 completed, homeport Rotterdam.

1968 Sold to Rederij Viking CVOA, Willemstad, Netherlands Antilles, renamed VIKING.
1974 Sold to Concord Leasing, Dover, U.K. renamed HELENA JAYNE.
1977 Sold to B.V. Stickings, Dover not renamed.
1979 Sold to N.E. Murray, Dover, not renamed.
1982 Sold to Irving J. McQuilkin, Dover, not renamed.

11 February 1996 she sailed from Port of Spain, Trinidad with a cargo of concrete blocks and general cargo.
In a position 28 miles north of the first Bocas she encountered bad weather with high seas in which she capsized and sank on 11 February 1996.
The crew of eight took to the liferafts and were rescued 10 hours later by the Saint Vincent & the Grenadines cargo ship ULLA DORTE (423 ton).
