Many of the old inland boats of Sweden have lost their function and the types and how they were built have been long forgotten. But some of the types have been documented and now appear on stamps.
ISEKA(N) Iceboat from the island of Hammaron in lake Vanern_ Shows how fishermen made use of circumstances and made the best of the situation. The ice is weak during early spring when fishing is really good. Therefore they built a compromise between a boat and a sledge.
