COUNTY CLASS heavy cruiser

The warships depict on this MS of Gambia for the 50th Anniversary of peace in the Pacific is one of the County class, till so far she is not identified which ship of that class is depict..

The County class a heavy cruiser was built between 1926 and 1928 for the Royal Navy and the Australian Navy.
Displacement 9,825 ton standard, 14,000 tons full load. Dim. 193.3 x 20.2 x 6.6m. (draught)
Powered by Parsons or Brown Curtis geared steam turbines, 80,000 shp, four shafts, speed 32 knots.
Armament 8 – 8 inch, 8 – 4 inch AA or 16 – 2pdr AA guns. 8 – 21 inch torpedo tubes.
Carried up to three flying boats.
Crew 660.
