Built as an iron paddle steamer under yard No 176 on the yard of Johann Lange at Kardelhaben in Grohn near Vegasack, Germany for his own account.
29 June 1847 launched as the BREMEN (III).
Tonnage 176 grt, 159 net, dim. 49.76 x 4.64 x 2.31m., draught 1.06m.
Powered by two low pressure steam engines, 50 nhp. speed 10 knots. The steamengine was taken from the wrecked paddle steamer PAUL FRIEDRICH AUGUST, the engine was manufactured by Gâche Freres, Paris.
The paddle-wheels did have a diameter of four metres.
Accommodation for 394 passengers inland and at sea 296 passengers, crew 9 men.
29 July 1847 trial voyage.
13 August 1847 in service in the lower Weser River, made also some voyages to Norderney during the summer season.
July 1872 Sold to the Norddeutsche Lloyd for 14,000 Thaler, renamed in BREMERHAVEN.
Fate unknown.
