(Renfrew, Scotland), Ordered 25 Jul 1939, Laid down 21 Sep 1939, Launched 23 Apr 1940, Commissioned 24 Jun 1940, Propulsion: Steam 4cyl vertical triple expansion. 2750hp-16kn, Tonnage: 925 disp, Length: 205 feet, Breadth: 33 feet, Draught: 11 feet.
24th Feb 1941: Convoy HG54 - 15:30 - HMS GERANIUM dropped a pattern on a doubtful contact, then remained in the vicinity for an hour before rejoining the convoy.

German U-boat U-306 was sunk in the North Atlantic north-east of the Azores, in position 46.19'N, 20.44'W, by depth charges from the British destroyer HMS WHITEHALL (Lt.Cdr. C.L.de H. Bell, RD, RNR) and the British corvette HMS GERANIUM (T/Lt. A.R.J. Tilston, DSC, RNR).
HMS GERANIUM is not listed as active unit in the October 1945 Navy List
Transferred to the Royal Danish Navy on 8 September 1945 being renamed THETIS.
HDMS THETIS was powered by oil-fired boilers providing a top speed of 16 knots and carried a complement of 85. She was armed with one 4 inch anti-aircraft gun; one 40 mm anti-aircraft gun and four 20 mm anti-aircraft guns. HDMS THETIS operated in the North Sea and off the Faeroes.
Thetis was scrapped in 1963 at Odense, Denmark.
