Mr. Peter Crichton has identified the ships berthed at this stamp issued by St Maarten in 2012 170c.
The photo after the stamp was designed must be made around February 2011 and according the port’s cruise schedule of that month only on 16th February 2011 two Princess Cruise Lines vessels were berthed in St Maarten
Working from left to right the vessels are:
1) Norwegian Cruise Line – NORWEGIAN DAWN.
2) Royal Caribbean Line – OASIS OF THE SEAS.
3) Facing landward – Carnival Cruise Line – CARNIVAL DREAM.
4) Facing seaward – Princess Cruise – RUBY PRINCESS
5) Facing landward – Princess Cruises – SEA PRINCESS, ex ADONIA.
6) Facing seaward – Norwegian Cruise Line – NORWEGIAN SUN.
The cargo ships according the port’s cargo vessel schedule on 16th February 2011; the following ships were in port. Most probably hardly to see on the stamp:
1) ELITA I
2) The ro-ro vessel MIDNIGHT STONE
3) The blue hulled cargo vessel is the FRISIA INN.
4) The vessel with the black hull below the FRISIA INN is the FRANKLIN STRAIT, but it looks she is not more depict on the stamp.
I do not have the stamp the image of the stamp is not so good.
