The two stern trawlers depict on this Ukrainian stamp are of Project 1288 Pulkovskiy Meridian type.
Of this type 113 units were built between 1974 and 2011 at the Chernomorsky shipyard in Nikolayev, Ukrainian for Russian account. Which trawlers are depicted is unknown. Design most probably taken from a photo which shows two of these type trawlers along the outfitting quay at the shipyard.
The trawlers of Project 1288 are fishing world wide and staying for a long period at sea, the frozen cargo transferred to reefer vessels at the high seas.
The trawlers were used for pelagic and ground fishing and the fish was processed on board in frozen fish, fish meal, canned fish-liver and fish-liver-oil.
Tonnage 4,407 grt, 1,322 net, 1,904 dwt. Dim. 103.70 x 16.0 x 10.20m. length bpp. 96.40m.
Powered by two Skoda diesel engine, 6-cyl. each 3,500 hp, speed 16 knots.
Frozen cargo capacity, two holds total 2,381 cubic metres.
Production capacity in 24 hours , fish 60 ton canned fish-liver 6,000 tins, fish meal 35 ton and fish-liver-oil 2.4 ton.
