Re: Borea 1960
The stamp was issued in commemoration of the Finish Tourist Association’s 100th anniversary, and the stamp was designed by students from the industrial art school. They chose to use a design of an older type Finnish passenger ship when she still had two real funnels. Both funnels are shown on the stamp, but on the BOREA the forward funnel was a dummy. Only one two funnel ship matches the profile of the passenger ship shown on the stamp, and that is the BOREA.
