FERRET. Brig of 14 guns. She was the U.S. Privateer RAPID captured in 1812 renamed FERRET in 1813. Sold 1820. She is the ship behind NORTHUMBERLAND on the stamp - Ajman 1971. 1.25r. NC (LB14/129)

The stamp is designed after an color engraving made by Henri Courvoisier-Dubois entitled "The arrival of the NORTHUMBERLAND at Saint Helena, 15 October 1815.
She is at anchor in the background of the stamp behind the NORTHHUMBERLAND.
