FRIEDRICH WILHELM ZU PFERDE. Frigate. Built circa 1597 by G C Peckelhering, Pillau. Launched 25th April 1601. L125'. B32'. Armed with between 12 - 20 guns. Crew 160. From 1601-1606 she was used as Guard Vessel at East Prussian port of Pillau. In 1608 she sailed from Pillau to Lisbon with a cargo of timber. Second voyage was from Emden to Shetland in 1691. On return from her third voyage Emden to West Indies in 1692 she was seized by a French Man 0 War and burnt. - Sharjah 1968 5dh. 90dh. NC (LB 2/56.3/68-98. EWA Vol 9. p26)
