POLAR PEVEK icebreaker tug

The hull was built as an icebreaking tug under yard no 327 by Aker Tulcea, Tulcea, Rumania for Polar Pevik Ltd, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Russia.
16 March 2005 keel laid down.
Launched as the POLAR PEVEK.
Tonnage 3,396 grt, 1,019 nrt, 1,323 dwt, dim. 74.36 x 17.00 x 8.00m., length bpp. 64,45m., draught 6.14m.
After the hull was completed was she towed to Norway and completed under yard No199 by the Aker Langsten Slip, Tomrefjord
Powered diesel electric by four Bergen C25:33L9A diesel engines, 10,020 kW, two electro motors each 5000 hp. twin shafts, two azimuth propeller thrusters 4,500 kW each. 1 bow thruster 700 kW.
Bollard pull 115 tonnes. Bunker capacity 1,100 cub. metres.
15 June 2006 completed and delivered 27 June 2006, port of registry Kholmsk, Russia.

She is on a long time charter to Exxon-Neftegas Ltd until 2021 and operates off the De-Kastri oil terminal assisting tankers by mooring and unmooring, can also used for fire-fighting and oil pollution.
2013 In service IMO No 9319997 same name and owner. Managed by Polarus, Yuzhno-Shakhalinsk.
