Watercraft Philately volume 26 page 06 has the following on this vessel.
In honor of her Naval Forces the Dominican Republic has issued one stamp in 1978 showing a trim-looking two-masted schooner, fast sailing, before a quartering wind
Built 1942 as a two masted schooner in the Dominican Republic by? for the Dominican Navy.
Launched as the NUEVA TIODITIE.
Tonnage 170.28 Gt, dim. 121 x 23.6 x 8.3ft.
One auxiliary diesel engine 200 hp.
Crew 12.
After completed used by the Dominican Republic Navy as a school-ship.
She was later renamed in DUARTE.
May 1965 sank, where? (Log Book).
