JOHN MILLER NICHOLSON

Post by aukepalmhof » Sat Nov 15, 2014 6:40 am

The four stamps have been designed after paintings made by the Isle of Man artist, John Miller Nicholson (1840-1913) and shows maritime paintings made between 1899 and 1909 of harbour scenes with ships and fishing vessels on the island.
The 12p and 26p are paintings made in Douglas while the 29p and 34p are made in Peel.
