Sperber

Post by shipstamps » Tue Nov 25, 2008 6:35 pm

The steamer Sperber as she was originally built in 1907 is seen on the 50 pf. stamp. Today she looks quite a different vessel, the mast and funnel having gone.
The Sperber was built in Danzig in 1907 and has a length of 29.1 in.; breadth 5.1 in. She is registered to carry 330 persons.
