Built under yard No. 178 as a container vessel by Orskovs Christensen yard, Frederikshavn, Denmark for K/S Peter Wessels II Aps., Denmark.
20 December 1992 launched under the name LISBETH C.
Tonnage 2.881 gross, 925 net., dim. 91.50 x 16.20 x 6.90m., length bpp. 84.98m, draught 4.45m.
Powered by two 8-cyl. MAN-B&W diesels, 3.480 hp., speed 10 knots, twin controllable pitch propellers.
Bunker capacity 360m³.
Cargo capacity 4.084m³, can carry 267 TEU’s
Cargo gear, two cranes of 40 ton.
1993 Completed.

1994 Renamed by owners in PACIFIC PERU, and chartered out to Rederiet Lepus, A/S, Denmark, flagged into the Danish International Shipping Registry (DIS)
1998 Returned to owners and renamed LISBETH C.
2002 Renamed in SANTA PAULA, and transferred to K Peder Wessels II in Venuzuela.
2003 Renamed in LISBETH C.
From 1995 till January 2001 used in a service between Saint Pierre and Halifax, Canada.
July 2007 sold to Arrow Seismic Invest IV Ltd., United Kingdom renamed in POLAR SEA.

2007 Converted to research vessel.
01 February 2015 arrived by Smedegaarden in Esbjerg, Denmark for demolition.
