The Stocznia Szezcinska at Szczecin, built the Republika, an open or closed shelter deck type, in 1964. She is a vessel of 14,500 tons deadweight, 7,702 gross, according to one register, but another gives her 14,376 deadweight and 10,730 gross; there are also differences in registered dimensions: 513ft. o.a. x 67ft. tin x 29ft. 2in., compared with 523ft. 6in. x 67 ft. 8in. x 26ft. 9in. draft. A diesel engine of 7,500 b.h.p. gives a speed of 15 knots. SG2055

06-04-1974 sold to Ebro Trading Co., Monrovia, renamed in CAPE BLANCO, 1978 to Laodika Cia. Naviera, Piraeus, renamed in LAODIKA, 04-1985 scrapped in Shanghai.
